Routing Information Protocol (RIP) – Ein älteres Distance-Vector-Protokoll für interne Gateways, das die Anzahl der Hops als Metrik verwendet und die Pfade auf maximal 15 Hops begrenzt; wird von „ Versa “ VOS für ältere Routing-Umgebungen neben OSPF und BGP unterstützt.
