AI Sovereignty Starts with Sovereign SASE
Gartner’s Predicts 2026: AI Sovereignty report makes a case that should reshape how every CIO thinks about AI: sovereignty is not just a capability, it is becoming a deciding factor in how nations and enterprises build, deploy, and govern AI. Gartner projects that by 2027, 35% of countries will be locked into region-specific AI platforms built on proprietary, in-country data, up from roughly 5% today. That is a structural change in how the global AI market works, with direct implications for any organization operating across borders. Gartner’s answer is a sovereign-by-design architecture that maps workloads to jurisdictions and uses controlled…
The Flat Network Is the Last Unsegmented Zone in the Enterprise
Zero Trust programs have largely completed two phases, remote access and the WAN edge, while the physical campus network remains outside continuous identity-based validation. This post examines why flat and coarsely segmented LANs persist, why VLANs and port authentication do not constitute a segmentation strategy, and how Versa Secure SD-LAN makes segmentation a property of the fabric by enforcing Zero Trust and microsegmentation at the LAN edge.
The Essential Planes Every Sovereign SASE Vendor Must Support
“Sovereign SASE” has become a loosely used claim. This post breaks genuine sovereignty into four architectural planes — data, control, management, and jurisdiction — and shows how Versa Sovereign SASE, built on the VersaONE platform, is architected to satisfy all four, plus the questions that pressure-test any vendor’s claim.
Extend Your SASE DLP and ATP Policies to Email
Versa DLP and ATP for Email brings data loss and threat protection for email into your SASE platform, closing visibility gaps for faster resolution.
Resiliency Is the New SLA: Why AI Demands an Always-On Intelligent Edge
For decades, we’ve measured the network in terms of uptime percentages and bandwidth tiers. In the AI era, those metrics are no longer enough. Resiliency, which is the ability to deliver uninterrupted, any-directional, application-aware connectivity in the face of unpredictable AI workloads, is the new SLA.
Versa SASE Fabric
The Versa SASE Fabric, a part of the Versa Secure Access Fabric, is an interconnected, policy-aware, distributed system where networking, security, identity, analytics, and orchestration operate as a single unified platform. Learn why it’s based on an optimal architecture and what sets it apart.
Reimagining the Edge: From Network Appliance to Application Platform
For years, the enterprise edge has been treated as a fixed-function domain, purpose-built appliances focused solely on connectivity and security. But that model is no longer sufficient. As applications become distributed, AI workloads move closer to users, and real-time processing becomes critical, the edge must evolve from a transport layer into a flexible, intelligent platform.
Zero Trust MCP Server: Securing the Future of Agentic AI
Versa’s Zero Trust MCP Server is the industry’s first patented solution built to secure every AI interaction, enforce governance, and enable safe Agentic AI adoption at scale.
Securing the Modern Browser: How Versa Remote Browser Isolation Protects an AI-Driven Workforce
Remote Browser Isolation (RBI) is a critical defense against zero-day threats, data loss, and unmanaged device risk. Learn how Versa RBI integrates natively with Unified SASE to secure the browser across your enterprise.
Versa Zero Trust: From Network Trust to Application Trust
Zero Trust has become a foundational concept in enterprise security, but many implementations focus on only one part of the problem: application access. Zero Trust must be enforced at multiple layers of the network.

Versa Launches New Branch & WAN Architecture
By Kumar Mehta
Founder and CDO, Versa Networks
November 10, 2015
Enterprise WAN and branch architectures really haven’t changed much in the last 20 years. Traffic patterns, though, have changed quite a bit with the advent of cloud apps like Office365 and Salesforce.com. Couple that with large amounts of branch traffic going to recreational sites. But today’s branch architectures are still designed for branch-to-data center or -HQ connectivity based on expensive MPLS connectivity or DIY over-the-top VPN technologies like DMVPN (which are complex to setup and manage). At the same time, broadband connectivity has significantly improved and its performance metrics are similar to MPLS. Compounding these WAN issues is the fact…
