Versa Secure SD-NIC in Multi-Tenant Data Centers
Historically, virtualized data center designs have lacked inherent ZTNA, as well as network and data security embedded in their multi-tenant architectures. With the rapid evolution of threat techniques, attackers actively exploit post-access vulnerabilities and often move between workloads and tenants.
With Versa’s Secure SD-NIC, we embed security enforcement directly into the server. This enables inline traffic inspection without rerouting traffic to appliance-based data center firewall appliances or to distributed firewall VMs – enabling better performance and greatly simplifying traffic forwarding paths. Now, all VMs and compute infrastructure are fully secured at the SD-NIC within each server.
Versa Secure SD-NIC in Untrusted Environments
Remote devices and computing platforms are increasingly deployed outside of the jurisdiction and control of the enterprise. You can find common examples across everyday industry examples (e.g. ATM machines, tactical environments, financial services platforms and critical infrastructure). Today, the traffic is transported to a central location for security enforcement or an additional security appliance is required for each compute system.
Versa Secure SD-NIC provides an inline point of inspection that delivers both security and connectivity to devices in these untrusted or 3rd party environments. Security inspection and controls extend your security policies and Zero Trust controls natively to a device or vehicle, effectively securing the compute platforms placing SD-NIC inside the compute platform and sealing it also allows enterprise to make use of secure and trusted compute solutions in untrusted environments.
