CyberRatings.org 2025 Comparative Test Report: Cloud Network Firewall

CyberRatings.org performed independent testing of 10 leading cloud firewall solutions: Amazon Web Services (AWS), Check Point, Cisco, Forcepoint, Fortinet, Google Cloud Platform, Juniper Networks, Microsoft Azure, Palo Alto Networks, and Versa. The Versa NGFW received the top “Recommended” rating on the strength of the following results:

• High Security Effectiveness – An overall Security Effectiveness rating of 99.90%, with scores of 100% in the categories of routing & access control, TLS/SSL support, prevention of threat evasion techniques, and stability & reliability.
• Fastest Rated Throughput – Versa’s throughput rate (2,000 Mbps) was 150% to 413% faster than any other recommended vendor.
• Highest HTTPS Processing Capacity – Versa’s HTTPS traffic throughput reached 1,585 Mbps, the highest recorded in the test.
• Most cost-effective – Versa NGFW scored the lowest Price per Mbps ($1.27) among recommended vendors, whose solutions ranged from 77% to 245% more expensive than Versa on a cost-per-Mbps basis.
