BUM Traffic (BUM) – Broadcast, unknown-unicast, and multicast traffic, the Layer 2 traffic types that must be flooded throughout a bridge domain. EVPN networks control BUM traffic with designated-forwarder election and split-horizon filtering, and storm control rate-limits it to prevent traffic storms.
