0:00 Hi, this is Clinton Versa. 0:02 This is short video on the Versa deployment in a Fortune 500 retail enterprise. 0:07 So highlights this is a high end name brand retailer in the US it's a five year permitted Versa and Versa is performing all perimeter security, SD, Wan and routing functions in the network. 0:20 So there's these are challenges. 0:22 They had lots of servers in the stores. 0:24 They're moving these up into AWS and they want to have a modern high speed network that allows direct communication from the store to AWS with local Internet breakout. 0:37 Previously they were hair painting all the traffic back through a central data center and as they modernize their their applications to be more cloud centric, they need a new network aligned to their their new needs. 0:48 In addition, MPLS was becoming pretty really expensive as they scaled up bandwidth. 0:53 They had a separate third router in each store for guest Wi-Fi and previously they had multiple network and security solutions bolted together and the enterprise network and security cost. 1:05 Over the years they become bloated and they had antiquated management tools. 1:10 So what they saw was a modern secure SD Wan with local Internet breakout at the store. 1:16 They wanted to migrate from MPLS to two different Internet providers per store and they would have a next generation secure network to power the enterprise for the next 10 years. 1:29 So this was the Versa solution. 1:31 We've got redundant Versa secure SRN appliances in every store versus enforcing the enterprise security policy and network policy in every store. 1:40 We're using Versa to segment between store network and corporate network. 1:44 We've simplified the Win Edge. 1:46 We've templatized the store network. 1:49 In terms of the appliances, we're running redundant Dell VEP 1445 appliances in each store. 1:58 These are up to two gigabits of encrypted SD Wan. 2:01 And then for hubs, we're using Dell VEP 4600 V Nine 30s deployed HA in data centers and corporate offices. 2:13 Both these appliances are Versa certified. 2:16 They are imaged for the Versa operating system and they boot up as a Versa device and they do support Versa zero touch provisioning. 2:28 This is a high level design at the completed network. 2:32 So in stores we have HA Versa devices and AWS we have HA virtual Versa devices. 2:42 Corporate sites are getting redundant physical appliances and then data centers obviously have redundant versa appliances. 2:50 And I've also had on the slide the multi tenancy. 2:53 So we have two tenants. 2:55 We have a store tenant in green, we have a corporate tenant in blue. 2:59 So the data centers, the AWS and the management all participate in both tenancies. 3:08 In addition, we have separate SDN overlays for corporate and and stores. 3:15 Each one of those has their own topology and own set of SD Wan keys. 3:20 And across the tenants we have separate Arbok for each tenant, separate SD Wan policy, separate security policy, separate overlays and keys for each one of the tenants. 3:31 This allows the customer to build out this infrastructure and leverage the data center, AWS and management for both the corporate network and the storage network. 3:46 These are all the security capabilities and networking capabilities in the Versa solution that this customer's using. 3:52 So leveraging next Gen. 3:53 firewall, oral IP and file filtering, DNS sync, whole DNS proxy, anti malware, next Gen. 4:00 IPS, SSL and TLS decryption and Versa zero day threat intelligence. 4:05 Versa wraps us up with central orchestration, multi tenancy, a single data lake for network and security. 4:13 We're now managing security and network policies versus boxes. 4:17 And there's a single set of APIs to automate the Versa solution. 4:24 So project status, we've transformed 3D stores to Versa Secure SD Wan in less than 14 months. 4:30 Now that the store's SD Wan transformation is complete, we're now rolling out Versa Secure SD Wan in the corporate sites and the Versa transformation has exceeded the end user expectations and the project was delivered on schedule. 4:44 You can find this useful. 4:45 Thanks a bunch. 4:46 Have a great day.
