0:05 Calgary Home Loans is a top tier mortgage lending company and our job or our mission here at Calgary Home Loans is to provide the safest and best path for our customers to home ownership. 0:21 In the past, a lot of times everything had to come back to a data center or otherwise then go out to the Internet and you know, that's because most of the services were, you know, managed and supported by the local teams. 0:33 The thing that I think the primary driver was the ability to have the metrics at each location to understand how our business partners were using the network and also to provide quality of service changes on that environment so that we can guarantee the business traffic for them. 0:55 So we started looking at solutions like versa to basically address these problems we had. 1:01 We needed to solve for speed to market, quality of service and lower cost. 1:07 What allowed us to make progress on this was an initial proof of concept that we were able to show the business partners how we could manage and control and give them information about their location so that they can manage their teams better. 1:22 We could provide them a better service and also that we could do it at a lower cost, you know, and they didn't try to oversell their product. 1:29 They basically, you know, shared with us the things that would work and the places where they had opportunities so we could have a good expectation of what we were going to deliver. 1:42 So that was really about the leadership team and the team there. 1:46 At Versa, if we found an issue or whatever they were hot on top of it with us, our voice would drop in and out on some of these locations where they had limited network connectivity. 1:56 A lot of that just disappeared. 1:57 We know a lot it, it felt like a normal phone service in all those locations. 2:01 The telecom space, the telephony space was improved dramatically for the combination of the product, good quality of service, rules on that locations and metrics around how we were consuming those locations. 2:15 We can go directly from a branch location or our corporate offices to that provider through whether it's a direct connection or through an Internet connection and we can manage the quality of service of that connection directly to them. 2:28 That allows us a lot of flexibility in, you know, choosing best of breed partners, the analytics that you get with this product and the ability to see your entire network and what your traffic patterns look like. 2:46 And it's just sort of built into the tool is extremely useful. 2:50 In the past, that would require people to deploy lots of different types of software and agents around their network and construct this kind of data, and now we just sort of inherited that by selecting these products.
